Visiting Family

I went to visit some family on the otherside of Florida.  I rented a car for a week thru Enterprise.  They were the only rental place right in St. Augustine and we have done business with them before.  I just wanted a small car and a GPS.  They gave me a Nissan Versa.  Cute little car with fantastic gas milage.  I would never buy one though.  It was too light.  It made me nervous to go by any large trucks on the highway.  My sister and her family have a beautiful home in Lithia.  My parents also live there in a sort of in-law apartment.  We had been trying to get my mom and dad to move to Florida for a while and this worked out great.  I love them both very much.

My dad really loves the VA Hospital there.  He said they are much nicer and seem to be more caring than the one back home in Connecticut.  Everyday my dad goes out to the patio to read.

The next morning Rick, Melissa's husband, made me tea.  He did this every morning.  I was so getting used to that.  He decided to work from home since Melissa and I were taking mom to the doctor and we had no idea how long we would be.  He may need to pick up Sarah.  So he took his notes and a laptop to the patio to work.

And this was the view he had.  In the forground is the pool, wich is enclosed in the patio.  Beyond that is a pond.

I don't know about you, but I probably wouldn't get much done.  To the left of the pool is a landing.  Rick is thinking of maybe putting some kind of fire pit there.  I think it is a great idea.

On the right end is a hottub/spa.  Nice!!

No. I would get absolutely no work done.  I told Sarah she could have my butterfly earings before I left.  She needed to try them on to see if they fit she told me, along with my butterfly sunglasses.  I got my sunglasses back.  Never saw the earrings again.  LOL!

She has two older brothers who she really loves.  Zach is a senior in high school and is finishing that year up in Connecticut.  I stayed in his room while he is away.  Ryan loves baseball.  He also loves his sister.

I also love my sister!!

There are two more residents I should mention.  There is Ella.  She loves to hunt Geccos.

And Fid Mi.  We all lovingly pronounce it Feed Me.  She loves the kitchen.

Some nights were ended watching TV on the patio.

It was so nice to see my family.  I missed them.  And of course I do miss the family in Connecticut.

Back here on Enigma Bill has been busy.  Up early each day he has finished sanding a lot of the woodwork and has varnished it.  He has also sanded and painted the pedistal.  Great Job!!

Patti and Bill :-)
