The final step before we leave.

I almost slept late again yesterday.  Well it still was kinda late. 8:45.  I was sitting in the salon doing my usual stuff on the laptop when Bill yelled that Danny from Westerbeke was here.  Then stuck his head in and said "Oh, you're dressed".  Of course I'm dressed. I'm up.  Danny is back to finish the job on the engine.  The filter and the zinc came in.  The pressure sender should be in on Monday, but it is for us to have in supply.  This should be the final thing before we leave on Tuesday.  The engine took a bit to start up this time.  Danny said that there was probably some air in a hose.  As long as she started I was happy.  When draining the oil he found that the hose was completely clogged.  The good thing was that it was the upper hose so it was easy to get to.  If it had been the lower one that would have been down close to the bilge it would not have been easy.  $$cha ching$$  When he finally got it to drain it looked like tar.  Did the previous owners take care of this engine?  Apparently not professionally.  Sometimes trying to save money can actually cost more in the end.

Well, the TV is finally working somewhat.  We needed an excuse to go to Best Buy to buy an antenna anyway.  The place we intend to stay in Florida wants to charge us $5.oo a day for cable.  Yes, that is a day.  It was cheaper at home.

Back on C-Dock it was Happy Afternoon.  Deb and Dick from Journey To... were here with their Great Dane Bentley.  He gets on and off the boat much better now.  And is soooo cute.

2 days and counting.  So far the weather is holding up.  Please cross your fingers for us that we don't need to stay another week.

BTW, Dave thanks for the better banner pic of Enigma!  It is much clearer.

Patti and Bill  :-)
