ICK...What is that on the boat?

I am happy to say that Jeremy is okay.  He had dislocated his shoulder but was in work yesterday with a sling made out of a t-shirt. Love the south.  He has the next 2 days off to recuperate.  Brian said he is good to come with us on Tuesday.  It is getting closer.

If you have been following this blog you will know that we have been here a while.  We came in just before the Christmas holiday.  The marina is right on the ICW.  Located on the Skidaway River.  Both sides of the river is marshland.  It makes for a nice habitat of wildlife, but not so nice for your boat.  The reeds constantly float along and get caught between the boats, fenders and the dock.
We can just push those along with our boat hooks.  Unfortunately there is growth that forms and lives on the bottom of the boats too.
So we hired a diver to clean the bottom of the boat and the propeller.  This is common in this area. Chevy and Ruby on Drift Away are very curious about this creature on the dock.

Now Enigma is nice and clean.  No more icky stuff growing so she will travel much smoother.

We went to a late lunch at Ozzy'z Grill.  It's a cute little place.  Many pictures from the 1920's and maybe earlier are on the wall.  This one just made me giggle.

Four more days and counting.  Of course there are some people here that just laugh and say "You guys aren't leaving and you know it".  Hehehe.

Patti and Bill :-)

  1. Looking good - now try to stay focused on that departure date. Watch out for Dave, he's like a magnet - we almost didn't get out of there.

    1. I know. We made them stay for St. paddys day. He tells me all the time we are not really leaving.
